  • Business plan for the implementation of a CHP and a district heating network
The Aziende Industriali di Lugano (AIL) examined the construction and operation of a combined heat and power plant (CHP) with large heat pumps and cogeneration at the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) Bioggio and a district heating network. To accurately evaluate such an important investment, AIL needed a detailed business plan for the design, construction and long-term operation of the project. Use of available resources, development of energy costs (renewable & conventional) and legal requirements were all incorporated into the scenarios.
